North County Scots History The North County Scots was an idea that started in the minds of a few ... and then grew into an organization of more than fifty members in its first year. The first meeting was held in May 1990. Some of those organizers still serve on the elected board of directors, and as officers. The stated goal was to assist with the San Diego Highland Games and to find pleasure in activities with other Scottish friends. North County Scots has accomplished both and now embarks on a new year of inviting Scots, friends of Scots and others interested in Scottish lore to join them.
